Paul Johnson is from Essex in the UK with 14 years of international teaching experience in Spain, Vietnam, Oman and China.
The most important thing to him in teaching is the relationships he can build with each other. He likes sharing his experience and knowledge with students and colleagues, but also enjoy learning a lot from them too. He really enjoys working at international schools, as every day is different and there is always something to learn. He believes that being a good teacher means being a good student.
He is very interested in his own language, English, but also learning about other languages. In his lifetime he has learned; French, German, Spanish, Bahasa Indonesian, Burmese, Vietnamese, Arabic and now he is working hard on improving his Mandarin Chinese. Therefore, he is aware of the challenges that we face when learning and using a different language to our own.
He looks forward to establishing relationships here and watching learners progress and develop, facilitating their learning and encouraging them to be able to express themselves, collaborate and be autonomous in and out of the classroom.
