BA in Spanish Language and Literature — Sam Houston State University
Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies — Alvin Community College
5+ years U.S. public school teaching experience (Texas)
6 years international experience (Qatar, China)
Venecia is an American educator based in Chizhou, Anhui, China, with over 6 years of teaching experience spanning the USA, Qatar, and China. She used to teach English, Business, and Intercultural Communications at Chizhou University, alongside running her own independent business English program for adult and professional learners.
The most important thing to her in teaching is helping students find confidence in a second language — whether that's a young learner building foundational English, or a working professional preparing to negotiate, present, and communicate across cultures in international business. She enjoys the variety her work brings: one day designing a CEFR-aligned curriculum, the next helping a Chinese manufacturer craft messaging for overseas buyers.
She is fluent in English and Spanish, with working Chinese, and has lived and worked in Mexico, the USA, Qatar, and China — an experience that shapes how she teaches communication not just as grammar and vocabulary, but as the skill of navigating between cultures.
She looks forward to bringing that same cross-cultural, relationship-first approach to new classrooms and new communities, helping learners grow the confidence to express themselves, collaborate, and thrive internationally.
